JPop and JRock are Japanese Pop music and Japanese Rock music... that's sort of a no-brainer. The mix of both Japanese and English words in many songs creates a very unique sound. Although some people may think it is a waste of time listening to something that you don't even really understand, I think it is an enjoyable experiance. Anyways, most JPop and JRock music have English translations either inside your CD book or online. JPop and JRock used to be just something you could find over in Japan, but recently it has grown. Alot of JPop is actually your favorite theme songs of your favorite anime TV shows. Most of them keep the original Japanese theme-song. For example, the opening theme song for Fullmetal Alchemist is sung by L'Arc~En~Ciel... they just happen to be one of my favorite JRock groups. You can find alot of JPop/JRock at stores in the USA such as Suncoast Pictures, Mediaplay, and Samgoody... other than at those places, it is sort of hard to find unless you live in a big city with a good ammount of a Japanese population... One thing though when you buy JPop/JRock, be careful of what you buy. Some CDs are like $20, but then you just get a soundtrack that does not have any real singing music at all!! I think that is a waste of money... One obvious sign that the CD is a soundtrack is that if it has more than 20 tracks on it... More than likely then that is a soundtrack. It can be hard to distinguish some CDs, so be a careful shopper, unless of course you like music without any words.. Presonally, I do not^ So hopefully, this will encourage you to go run out to your local mall to the Suncoast/Sam Goody, and hopefully you will be soon reciting words from JPop/JRock songs.. Happy listenin'! Oh, we have picked some of the best artisits we think, and have gotten the music for you. Just go over to the music section on the left-hand navigation bar.
