Here are some frequently asked questions. Please read these before you contact me!
- What does Hikaru Hoshi stand for?
Hikaru Hoshi roughly means "shining star" in Japanese... When I picked out the domain, my Japanese was quite poor. I think you should get it though. Why Japanese, well we started with anime and manga of course!!
- Will you make me some custom graphics?
Not really. I only do those on comission now. I will take suggestions on what to make for the public, but I do not have the time really to make a lot of people custom things that no one else will want to use.
- The streaming media will not load for me.
The streaming media section requires you to have a browser that is compatible with Flash player. These should be all browser types and current versions, but if you do not have Flash player installed, it should prompt you to install it. If not, please go here. I actually just found out that Flash player is not compatible with Internet Explorer 64 bit, which is what my IE is... So now, I really use Firefox.oO. If you don't know what type of IE version you have, if you have 4GB of RAM on your computer, it's probably 64 bit.
- What should be my settings to see the layout?
The layout specific requirements are usually on the splash page, but here are some basic requirements for all the time:
- The current version of Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. Netscape is not recommended. Firefox works best, then Safari.
- You must have flash and java support for the interactive features.
- A screen resolution of at least 1024x768 is best. A resolution of 800x600 will work also, but it will not look wonderful. Larger screen resolutions are fine.
- We do not have pop-up ads, but some our content pop-ups in new windows. Please disable your pop-up blocker while browsing our site.
- Where's all the anime stuff?
Since everyone is growing up a little more and focused on future careers, Josh has decided to concentrate more on graphics. So, we have scaled down on anime and manga a little. You can find the links for that stuff under the sections titled, "otaku". I really need an anime and manga enthusiast that can help me get some more pages!!
- Can I help with Hikaru Hoshi?

- No ads?

- What are the major themes here?
Well, Hikaru Hoshi has become a mish-mash of a whole bunch of different things. Currently, some of our themes include: graphic designs, tutorials, literature, gaming, video, music, J-life, languages and hosting.
- What language is the music in???
Josh has quite a varied taste of music and quite a collection. I (Josh) listen to English, German, French, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Italian. Weird? I know^.^ I actually only speak Engish and Spanish, but I love foreign music!
